REMINDER: THESIS SUBMISSION DEADLINE COMING UP

The following is from an email message from Graduate Program Director Marc Steinberg.

This message is addressed to those thesis-track MA students who aim on graduating in the Spring graduation.

The final dates for initial submission to the Cinema department of a thesis to begin the examination process are February 15th in order to be considered for Spring graduation. This is to give time for the external and internal examination process, as well as leave time for you to revise as may be required by the examiners. Note that before submitting you should have your thesis advisor’s approval for this submission.

Subsequent to this initial submission to the department, the initial submission date to the Graduate School is March 18, and the final date to submit your thesis is April 15.

If you do plan on graduating this Spring, please be sure to submit your thesis to Marc Steinberg (cc: gpa.cinema@concordia.ca) by the February 15th deadline.

Before you submit your thesis for evaluation by Feb 15th, please contact Marc directly, or have your thesis advisor contact him to let him know he should expect your submission. Also, consult with your thesis advisor to decide on examiners (internal and external) for your thesis. When you contact Marc, let him know who you have decided on.

Please find attached below a file with general guidelines for thesis submission, including guidelines about examiners. Also take note of the  guidelines provided by the School of Graduate Studies, which can be found in the Thesis Preparation Guidelines found at: http://www.concordia.ca/content/dam/concordia/offices/sgs/docs/handbooks/thesispreparationguide.pdf

Feel free to email Marc Steinberg (marc.steinberg@concordia.ca) should you have any questions. The next deadline – for Fall graduation – will be around July 5, 2017.
