The Concordia Graduate Film Studies  Student Association is currently planning the annual Masters student colloquium, “Emerging Ideas in Film and Media Studies” on April 25. The event is a great chance for us to share our research and writing, and to get valuable experience presenting at conferences in a non-intimidating setting. The CGFSSA is seeking volunteers for the event to help with set-up, logistics, and promotion; if anyone is interested in helping put this colloquium together, please send an email to cgfssa@gmail.com. The same email can be used to submit proposals, which should include a brief bio including research interests, and a 200 word abstract proposal for a 15 minute presentation on any past or current research. The due date for these proposals is March 11.
