In what has been a long time coming, the Film Studies Doctoral program will have its first ever Thesis Defence on October 1st at 1pm in room EV 2.776. This event is open to students.
PhD candidate Dru Jeffries will deliver a twenty-minute presentation on his Thesis entitled “The Comic Book Film as Palimpsest”, and field questions from both the examining committee and the public in attendance. Should Dru satisfy the demands of the committee, he will have the honour of becoming the first person to receive a PhD in Film and Moving Image Studies from Concordia!
Should you not be able to show your support for Dru in person, Grad/Aperture will be live-tweeting from this historic event! Be sure to follow us on Twitter, and keep you eyes on Grad/Aperture for in-depth coverage.
BEST OF LUCK, DRU!
