PhD candidate Evangelos Tziallas will be defending his thesis, titled Between the Gothic and Surveillance: Gay (Male) Identity, Fiction Film, and Pornography (1970-2015), on Friday October 30th at 10am in room GM 930-48.

If successful, Evangelos will be the third person to receive a PhD in Film and Moving Image Studies from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema!

The defence is open to the public, and Grad/Aperture will be there to cheer him on.
