Shout Out! PhD Candidate Enrique Fibla Gutierrez wins the Standout Graduate Research Award

PhD Candidate Enrique Fibla Gutierrez has received the Concordia School of Graduate Studies’ Stand-Out Graduate Research Award in the “Person and Society” category for his research on non-commercial cinema during the Second Spanish Republic. His work investigates the relationship between 1920s and 1930s film culture, and the emergence of new social, political and cultural formations.

Fibla Gutierrez, a 4th year PhD candidate working under the supervision of associate professor Masha Salazkina, recently published his research findings in Screen.
